On June 24, 2014, Hemmelrath Lackfabrik GmbH founded the company's first Russian branch, Hemmelrath RUS, in Nizhny Novgorod. 

With the new location, Hemmelrath opens up the Russian OEM market for itself and lays the foundation for further expansion of its market activities in Central and Eastern Europe.

With this strategic investment, Hemmelrath underlines the significance of the rapid-growth market Russia, where the high quality automotive coatings of the Bavarian manufacturer continue to gain importance. The new location in Nizhny Novgorod will initially serve to better attend to the Russian car market, but for the future, the coatings manufacturer is already planning to gradually increase the degree of localization and to eventually establish its own local production facilities.

For Hemmelrath, the decision to establish a site in Russia is the logical consequence resulting from the ever-increasing demand in Eastern Europe and the desire to fully meet the specific requirements of the Russian market.
