According to data released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Brazil exported 180,700 tons of steel flat products in April, jumping by 49.3% from March and soaring by 60.7% year on year. In April, the import values generated by steel flat products totaled US$142 million, surging by 47.3% from the previous month and increasing by 25.8% year on year. Meanwhile, Brazil imported 524,700 tons of semi-finished steel products, up by 3% from the previous month but falling by 13.8% year on year. The import revenues were at US$269 million, up by 4% month on month but decreasing by 25.9% year on year.
