Big data technology company INRIX announced that it has entered into partnership with Samsung to bring mobile technology to connect cars.

Inrix will be powering new apps for THE NEW Samsung devices, and the apps are designed to help drivers save time, fuel and improve the driving experience.

Together, the companies are introducing Car Mode which is designed to set their mobile device to automatically switch to a driver friendly user interface.

INRIX has brought My Places" Widget" which provides Galaxy Note 4 users insight about best route and travel time.

Samsung Gear S Smartwatch has also been intigrated with INRIX XD Traffic app integration.

INRIX vice president of marketing Jon Maron said: "Together with Samsung we're transforming how millions of drivers navigate their world.

"By connecting drivers through collaborations with partners and customers like Samsung, we're not only making navigation easier for Samsung device owners but creating a network effect that makes our roads work smarter for all drivers."
